Position Summary:

The CRM Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing,and maintaining CRM solutions that enhance stakeholder experience, streamlinebusiness processes, and support organizational goals. The current CRM platformis Salesforce. This role involves solutions engineering, maintaining andevolving CRM architectural integrity, configuring and customizing the CRMplatform (e.g., Salesforce) using development tools such as Apex, Flow andVisualforce, integrating CRM with other systems, and ensuring data accuracy andsecurity. The CRM Solutions Architect oversees CRM system upgrades, managesrelease schedules, and provides Level 2/Level 3 support to troubleshoot complexissues, address escalations, and ensure minimal downtime. Collaborating with cross-functionalteams and/or development partners, the architect develops scalable,user-friendly solutions, optimizes CRM workflows, and provides technicalguidance to maximize system effectiveness and alignment with businessstrategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into CRM solution designs including data models, features, and user roles.
  • Design scalable, efficient CRM architecture and plan integrations with other systems.
  • Customize and configure the CRM platform, including configuring various elements, such as workflows, custom objects, fields, layouts, record types, validation rules, and permission sets, to align the platform with organizational processes.
  • Create dashboards and reports to provide insights into key metrics.
  • Provide advanced support to resolve complex CRM issues and system escalations.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported by end-users and internal teams.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security within the CRM platform.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and user permissions.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback and identify improvements.
  • Train end-users and support teams on new functionalities, best practices, and process updates.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Educational andExperience Requirements:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, and Salesforce Certified Administrator (an asset) is required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in designing and implementing scalable, efficient Salesforce solutions that meet complex business needs.
  • Extensive hands-on experience configuring the platform, customizing objects, fields, and workflows, and developing with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Extensive experience in Java EE, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and contemporary frameworks.
  • Experience should include leading end-to-end solution design, managing system upgrades, and overseeing release management processes to minimize downtime and maximize platform performance.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficient in data architecture, integration strategies, and security models, ability to seamlessly integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring data flows and synchronization are optimized.
  • A strong foundation in both technical and strategic aspects of Salesforce, they work closely with stakeholders to ensure the solution aligns with business goals and adheres to best practices in data governance and security.
  • Expertise in data migration, data mapping, and ensuring data integrity during CRM implementations.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to align CRM solutions with business goals.
  • Knowledge of CRM security protocols, access controls, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities to address CRM-related challenges.
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.


*Must be able to occasionally work after hours as needed.
