Job Summary
Supports DoD and IC systems, Family of Systems (FoS) and System of Systems (SoS) to include CDS development, installation, training, and testing. Works closely with DoD stakeholders, engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure compliance with government regulations, military standards, and security protocols. Possess in-depth knowledge of cross-domain solutions, DoD security policies, and federal compliance standards.
Telework is supported at 100%. Travel is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Designs and Implements DoD/IC-Specific Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS): Creates secure solutions for the transfer of sensitive information across varying security domains that complies with National Cross Domain Strategy and Management Office's (NCDSMO) Raise the Bar (RTB) guidance. Ensures DoD Compliance: Develops and deploys solutions that meet DoD security requirements, including RMF (Risk Management Framework), NIST SP 800-53, and RTB. Collaborates with DoD Stakeholders: Works directly with DoD agencies to understand mission-critical needs, translates those needs into RTB approved technical solutions, implements/tests CDS filters, and works with the Authorizing Official (AO) for an Authority to Operate (ATO). CDS Architecture: Designs secure cross-domain architectures, including data diodes, transfers and accesses CDS, and secures protocols and data formats, ensuring compliance with RTB specifications. Troubleshoots and Optimization: Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to CDS, ensures maximum system uptime and performance. Provides troubleshooting support in demanding environments. Maintains Documentation and Reporting: Prepares comprehensive documentation for deployments, security protocols, compliance requirements, and troubleshooting procedures. Ongoing Security Improvements: Continuously evaluates new security technologies, methods, and tools to improve and identify cyber security threats. Experienced in cross domain products, secure data transfer mechanisms, and systems for the DoD, such as data diodes, and cross-domain guards.Strong knowledge of DoD-specific encryption standards, network security, and secure system architectures. Experience with Site Based Security Assessments (SBSA), Lab Based Security Assessments (LBSA), or Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as it relates to CDS products. Experience designing, implementing, and supporting cross domain solutions in DoD or similar environments. Familiarity with government regulations and standards including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, and RTB. Experience with the DOD CDS authorization process. Working with stakeholder's Data Owner Guidance (DOG), Cross Domain Appendix (CDA), and Cross Domain Solution Authorization (CDSA). Experience with Linux system administration and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash). In-depth understanding of firewalls, multi-level security (MLS), and secure networking technologies in the DoD space.
Qualifications and Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Must have at least five (5) years of experience. Must have experience designing, implementing, and supporting cross domain solutions in DoD or similar environments. Must be familiar with government regulations and standards including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, and RTB.

Bachelors Degree (or equivalent expirence)
