Description:
Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images.
Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
Provides for patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
Possesses the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans along with the ability to perform related procedures and protocols.
Has the ability to learn and utilize new technology.
Possesses the ability to professionally obtain information from patients or their responsible parties to further improve their personalized treatment and care.
Works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status.
Works well with all age groups.
May include additional responsibilities based on the facility's needs, such as on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Performs CT related tasks and is aware of general CT protocols.
Imaging hospital and clinic patients with required post-processing of images.
Assigned shifts include weekends with call responsibilities.
Equipment utilized in the unit includes Toshiba and Siemens CT equipment, as well as EPIC/Radiant for EMR and McKesson for PACS.
Shift or schedule requirements include varying day and evening shifts with potential 12-hour weekend shifts.
Occasional call coverage is required.
Two-week orientation process is provided.
Must reside more than 80 miles away from the facility.
Proficiency with Siemens equipment is required.
