As Culinary Director, you will be responsible for driving menu innovation, maintaining food quality and safety standards, managing culinary operations across six locations, and mentoring back-of-house teams to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the culinary identity of a hospitality-driven brand and work closely with senior leadership to drive long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking culinary vision that aligns with the company's strategic goals
- Lead and inspire a unified culinary culture across all kitchens, fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability
- Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency across all locations
- Standardize recipes, prep methods, and portioning to ensure consistent food delivery company-wide
- Analyze and manage food and labor costs, procurement strategies, and kitchen efficiencies
- Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation protocols that comply with all local and federal regulations
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and operational assessments to uphold standards of excellence
- Train and mentor culinary staff at all levels; develop internal talent and support recruitment efforts
- Step in to support locations during high-volume periods or staffing gaps to ensure smooth operation
- Collaborate with marketing and events teams to support seasonal promotions and menu launches
- Engage with guests and utilize feedback to inform future culinary offerings
- Partner with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients while maximizing cost-efficiency
Qualifications:
- Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred; advanced culinary certification a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in a multi-unit or high-volume environment
- Proven success in menu development, cost control, team leadership, and culinary innovation
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, kitchen operations, and emerging food trends
- Financially savvy with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and vendor negotiations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments and lead cross-functional teams
- Passion for hospitality, people development, and delivering outstanding guest experiences
