Halvik is currently seeking a qualified senior candidate to serve in the Current Operations Division, G-43, for Headquarters, Department of the Army, G-4 (Logistics) providing analytical and technical support of global Joint and Army logistics operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as Deputy Contract Lead for ALOC Operations key Current Operations advisor to the G-43 Division Chief.
  • Assist and provides backup support to the G-4 Worldwide Logistics Forum lead.
  • Provides senior leaders updates on current operations globally and the logistics impacts. Analyzes logistics information and then provides succinct updates with recommendations to senior Army logistics leaders for decision.
  • Perform and assist with all aspects of current operations support to the US Army' Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 Logistics Operations Center (ALOC).
  • Brief current published orders and coordinate with appropriate Directorates and Divisions with assigned specified tasks.
  • Provides updates on the Russia-Ukraine war, Middle East conflicts, the Korean peninsula and related actions taken by the POTUS affecting DOD or the Army.
  • Provides daily analysis that depicts specified operational and logistics responsibilities for deployment and redeployment of unit movements (personnel and equipment) and disseminate findings and recommendations to appropriate G-4 Divisions.
  • Responsible for reviewing, summarizing, and then distributing Presidential Drawdown (PD) orders that provide military assistance to Ukraine.
  • Assist the G-4 in identifying, reviewing, summarizing and editing appropriate staff products, EXORDS, regulations, pamphlets, policy, procedures and processes. Provide recommended changes in both electronic and printed formats and shall provide queries and analysis for specific units/equipment and provide (printed and electronic) reports to G-43/G-4 leadership.
  • Provide an executive summary in support of any meeting or video teleconference in which he/she participates and will also attend various synchronization meetings, working groups, and will support various General Officer Steering Committees as required.
  • Assists and provides recommendations in response to Requests for Information (RFI) from the Army Senior Leadership or various commands.
  • Utilize multiple NIPR and SIPR logistics data systems to perform detailed analysis related to logistics operations.
  • Demonstrate mastery of various Microsoft Office products and may be required to learn and use various Army or DOD Applications as directed e.g. VANTAGE, ADVANA, ETMS-2, ECOP, ERoSter, ALERT! and JOPES etc.

Requirements:
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • This position requires an advanced degree with 6 years' experience, a bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience, or 12 years of experience with no degree. Must be able to work within a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, government personnel, and Army Senior leadership.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to perform no notice deployments to an austere facility in support of HQDA G-4 continuity of government operations for a period of up to 30 days.
