ECS is seeking a Customer Engagement Strategist to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. ECS is responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete 'Data Services' solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements.

ECS is seeking a Customer Engagement Strategist who will work across delivery teams to define and implement practices which drive efficiency, mitigate risks, foster innovation, and maintain strong relationships with a broad and dynamic group of customers across the Federal Civilian Executive Branch Agencies. The Customer Engagement Strategist will accompany engineering teams to augment delivery efforts and identify adjacent opportunities for supplemental services to help agencies achieve their cyber objectives. Upon award of new opportunities, the Customer Engagement Strategist will work to effectively transition new work to steady operations, which may include leading project start-up and transition activities.

Specific duties include:
  • The development of a robust Account Plan for the expansion of adjacent CDM-support services at participating agencies
  • Working across Program Teams and ECS Divisions to prioritize and resource Account Planning activities
  • Engaging in end-to-end business development activities, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture, proposal and transition to operations.
  • Serving as a Program Manager for one or more CDM-adjacent opportunities, particularly during the Transition-In Period


  • US citizenship require per contract with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability
  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting end-to-end Business Development operations
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience, to include program start-up, transition and staffing support
  • Deep understanding of Federal Government contracting, including experience building and executing strategic Account Plans
  • Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions, including building and sustaining strategic relationships to drive positive business outcomes
  • Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to the Information Technology and Federal Consulting markets, strategy, business development, product development and project management
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills, including customer and employee engagement
  • Able to create and deliver presentations and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences
