Position Title: Mid-Level Cyber Security Engineer
Overall Assignment Description:
As a Mid-Level Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in refining and integrating information security requirements into technology components, products, and systems. Your expertise in security architecture, design, development, and configuration will ensure that these systems are secure and compliant. You will work closely with development teams to design and enhance both new and legacy information systems, and support critical security initiatives.

Position Title: Mid-Level Cyber Security Engineer
Overall Assignment Description:
As a Mid-Level Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in refining and integrating information security requirements into technology components, products, and systems. Your expertise in security architecture, design, development, and configuration will ensure that these systems are secure and compliant. You will work closely with development teams to design and enhance both new and legacy information systems, and support critical security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, and upgrade information systems, ensuring security is prioritized at every stage.
- Conduct research and support Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to identify optimal security solutions tailored to specific system needs.
- Contribute to system design concepts and the capability phase of the system development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with security and environmental regulations (e.g., laws, industry standards).
- Assist in developing and documenting Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and security investment plans.
- Support the management and documentation of all security requirements, including National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) requirements and processes.
- Ensure system security compliance by reviewing and implementing security controls and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience in Cyber Security Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Cyber Security Engineering, preferably in a government or industry setting.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 Level I (IASAE) certification.
- Hands-on experience with system security architecture, including designing and implementing secure systems, both on-premise and in the cloud.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-level cyber security initiatives, with expertise in cloud and on-premise systems development and configuration.
- Familiarity with NGA security documentation and processes.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience in the implementation of ICD-503 (Information Security).
