SAIC seeks a Cyber Security Systems Engineer to join our team of professionals providing technical and program services to the U.S. Government (USG). SAIC provides research, engineering, design, analysis, acquisition, development, integration, test, and operations support USG Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support development and delivery of next generation and generation after next national security systems based on land, at sea, in air, and in space.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops processes, procedures, and templates to ensure information assurance (IA), security systems and security components including those for networks, cloud environments, and enclaves align with security policies and enterprise solutions.
- Provides innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to assist programs address the significant security challenges associated with their cutting-edge programs.
- Reviews program activities for assessing and mitigating systems and cloud-based security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle.
- Provides guidance to programs in the identification and implementation of novel information security functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions.
- Develops and implements programs to ensure that systems, networks, and data users are aware of, understand, and follow organizational information assurance policies and procedures.
- Validates that information assurance software, hardware, firmware and supporting infrastructure comply with security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
Must have bachelor's degree with minimum of 14 years of relevant work experience
Possess Information Assurance Manager Level III certification, such as: GSLC, CISM, CISSP, or CCISO
Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Interpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations
Desired Qualifications
Proficient skills and experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Proficient skills using JIRA and Confluence
Satellite and/or ground knowledge
Prior US military and/or IC customer experience
