Summary:
The Cybersecurity Analyst II under general direction from the Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for protecting computer networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access.

The Cybersecurity Analyst II under general direction from the Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for protecting computer networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor network traffic for security incidents and events.
- Investigate incidents and respond to events in real time.
- Write detailed incident response reports.
- Perform periodic risk assessments and penetration tests.
- Install and operate firewalls, encryption programs and other security software.
- Fix vulnerabilities.
- Develop and promote best practices for information security.
- Conduct threat research.
- Performs weekly systems security audits to detect unauthorized activities and maintain security compliance.
- Understand and have experience in implementing NIST 800-171 and 800-53 controls.
- Works within Information Technology team, back up other positions as needed.
- Actively promote safe behaviors and health awareness at all times in the execution of daily tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Six (6) years' experience in security, risk and compliance systems, i.e. Security Architecture, Secure Development Lifecycle Management, Application Security or Cloud Security desired.
- Experience with cybersecurity compliance standards and frameworks.
- Understanding of Industrial Control Security (ICS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and security essentials preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or the CompTIA Security+ desired.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and precisely to users and management with varying technical knowledge levels.
- Ability to collaborate and work well throughout the organization.
