Overview

The Cybersecurity analyst position is a full-time exempt position. The individual is responsible to support the development and implementation of cybersecurity processes and controls for information systems onboard the SBX vessel in support of operational deployments. The Cyber Security Engineer will report to the SBX Program Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support the development of cyber security processes and controls for information systems and/ or networks in support of program requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of controls in accordance with approved RMF package(s) and program policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring of information systems in secure environments in compliance with corporate IS's security program (e.g., CMMC, NIST 800-53, RMF Packages in EMASS, SSP, POA&M, and supporting artifacts, etc.)
  • Work with program and government teams to develop, maintain, and review program networks and Information Systems in compliance with DFARs [redacted], NIST 800-171, CMMC requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and effectively communicate cyber security posture and compliance of systems as required by the program.
  • Support customer meetings, reviews, audits, and/or test events as required.
  • Complete required training to maintain certifications and compliance with government regulations.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Security, or relevant field required. Master's degree preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience supporting DoD programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DAAPM and NIST SP 800-53, OPSEC principles; experience with COMSEC requirements including COMSEC Custodian experience is a plus
  • Candidate should possess certifications per DoD directive 8570.1, IAM Level I or higher
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work and deliver on time work products

Physical Requirements
  • Must pass a D.O.T pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to reside in and work in confined spaces
  • Work in adverse or violent motion onboard a vessel
  • Lift, push, pull and carry between 30-60 lbs up to 400 feet
  • Must be able to climb steep or vertical ladders


Security Clearance

  • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred.


Travel
  • Up to 75% per year to deployed locations around the world.
  • 12-hour shifts aboard
