Tech7 is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Site Reliability to join our team. This is a hybrid role located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Our team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling users to address challenging real-world problems by training on disparate data sources and transferring them into actionable information. The team is deeply passionate about its mission and takes tremendous pride in our work. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from government and commercial sources of Space Situational Awareness data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries.
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Site Reliability, you will design, build, maintain, and secure mission critical infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for multinational space domain awareness capabilities. You'll use your experience, knowledge, and skills to ensure applications and core systems are running consistently, reasonably, and in a secure manner. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams and continuously learn in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in helping our team formalize, standardize, and mature our cloud services using AWS.
Develop technical methodologies that support functional security procedures. This work includes but is not limited to performing security measures to prevent intrusion, vulnerabilities, and other threats; evaluating detection, firewall, and traffic log data to identify patterns and trends, and designing and utilizing security applications to understand and mitigate risk, and utilizing computer network defense (CND) tools to enhance an optimal level of security
This position requires an individual who is risk-tolerant and will focus on the recovery and attribution of our systems and applications.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Site Reliability on our System Infrastructure Team, you will be working closely with Release Trains, Agile Teams, Security, and the rest of the Systems Team by providing and maintaining the environments needed to develop and fielding advanced intelligence capabilities.
Work closely with hardware, software, and network engineering teams as well as operational teams in an Agile environment providing cybersecurity guidance required to field a secure development environment. You will be the cybersecurity advocate to contractor and DoD management.

- Perform ISSO and ISSM duties for unclassified CUI systems
- Support the Desktop development environment providing cloud solutions.
- Guide cybersecurity tasking of the cybersecurity team as well as engineering and other disciplines using the Agile process.
- Support the configuration management of hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks relating to cybersecurity and produce program reports/briefings for management and stakeholders.
- Support multiple development teams in an Agile environment to deliver measurable performance and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create and maintain security-focused tools and frameworks.
- Build, maintain, improve, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure/resources using modern IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tooling.
- Automate cybersecurity tasks when and where it makes sense.
- Plan and test disaster recovery scenarios for a highly available architecture.
- Collaborate with the Mission Assurance team to create and maintain security-focused tools and frameworks.
- You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government's most critical missions, and utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevOps.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate consistently with the government cybersecurity teams, government and contractor management, and scrum teams
- Requires comprehensive understanding DevOps methodology and Amazon AWS knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience with at least two of the following: containerization, software-defined networking, modern deployment strategies, database technologies, monitoring and telemetry tools.
- Ability and eagerness to perform and drive any cybersecurity-related tasking to ensure successful adaptation of the systems
- Requires ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
Minimum Education / Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree around STEM specialty, preferably Cybersecurity or Cloud Engineer.
- 5-8 years' experience
- Eligible for Top Secret clearance is required
Education preferred / Experience:
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred
- AWS certified Cloud Engineer preferred
- CompTIA+ or willingness to acquire is preferred.
