ESSENCE OF THE ROLE

The D365FO Developer/Technical Analyst will be responsible for supporting D365FO, the ERP that Landscape Structures uses for manufacturing, finance, ordering, and many other areas of our business. This is a key role within our IT team and will require the ability to break down technical problems into solvable components, analyze issues using knowledge of D365FO, develop customized solutions where necessary, and document the problem/resolution for future reference. This individual will also need to have strong Customer service skills to work with our business users to ensure their problems are resolved in a timely manner.

In addition to supporting our D365FO users in their day to day use of the system, this individual will also be involved in the development and testing of customizations needed to support our growing business. This individual will also ensure quality throughout the development process and for ongoing Microsoft updates by maintaining test cases.

POSITION
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users for our D365FO ERP and integrated solutions (Bartender, MetaViewer, PrecisionForms, etc.)
  • Solution Development: Coordinate development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions in D365FO based on design documents provided by analysts
  • Integration: Support our D365FO solution integrations with D365 Sales via Dual Write as well as other 3rd party vendors
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including support issue resolution documents, development standards, test cases, and best practices
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Systems analysts, developers, and business users to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay updated with the latest Microsoft D365 updates and assist with system upgrades and maintenance tasks as necessary
  • Testing: Assist with ongoing Microsoft Wave Update testing and build out QA testing process for D365FO
  • Security: Manage the security and roles for our D365FO user base

POSITION EXPECTATIONS
  • Utilize agile techniques to design, develop and implement software solutions across the Microsoft D365FO Platform.
  • Communicates effectively on status of issues and expected resolutions.
  • Contribute to test plans to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are documented in a consistent fashion.
  • Efficiently develops solutions using X++ programming language.
  • Documents work in a structured, effective manner.
  • Updates internal knowledge bases as required by provided solution.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and provide resolutions to D365FO related issues as a level 1/2 support resource.
  • Responds to user requests in a timely fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience with X++ development suite with D365FO.
  • Knowledge of SQL required with basic knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript, or Dual Write preferred
  • Understanding of features, configuration and support of D365FO
  • Experience with LCS and Power Platform is desired (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Azure services
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft D365FO functionality (order management, procurement, inventory management, fulfillment, manufacturing), Financial Module (AR, AP, GL etc.).
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics AX in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with non-professional as well as professional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and add to the team's knowledgebase and AX experience.
  • Ability to assess and resolve complex ERP problems / issues / risks.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Computer Science.
