NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled "Dashboard Developer / Specialist" to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, launching, and maintaining various key information dashboards in order to visually display data insights, metrics, and trends. These dashboards will assist in the monitoring of business and operations performance metrics to allow leadership to make informed decisions about day-to-day operations. Working with various data sources and tools, the successful candidate will integrate data visualization software and programming to build interactive dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand key data points in the different production processes, data collection systems, and business systems
  • Understand how the business KPIs are calculated as well as the frequency and scope of reporting both internally and to parent companies (LG Energy Solutions and Stellantis)
  • Develop and launch different user-friendly information dashboards that are intuitive and visually appealing, pulling data from numerous different systems to visually display KPIs, metrics, and trends
  • Provide technical support and training for the launch of the dashboards
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the various dashboards
  • Work with IT, Process, Equipment, Production, Quality, Logistics, Utilities and other teams to understand their reporting needs
  • Maintain documentation of each dashboard created, its maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes
  • Maintain communication between department colleagues and prepare and participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings with other teams
  • Other duties as needed


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of Power BI to develop information dashboards
  • Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce
  • Ability to solve problems by proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams on issues
  • The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, Power BI, data visualization tools
  • Proven use of SQL, JavaScript and other querying and programming languages


Preferred Requirements:
  • 3 Years or more experience in development and management of user-friendly dashboards
