Data Analyst

ECS is seeking a Data Analyst to work in Arlington, VA. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [additional funding].

ECS is seeking a Data Analyst to support our DHS-CISA client with developing and delivering Cybersecurity policies, standards, designs, and action plans related to organizational-wide information governance, data system integrity and integration, and leveraging business intelligence and analytics tools in support of long-term strategic planning and business process improvement efforts for our national security federal client. The ideal candidate will work well independently, with the analyst and project team, and as part of a broader team to help coordinate the delivery of consulting services, including coordination with Federal stakeholders. This position is located in Arlington, VA (Arlington).

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop processes and workflows that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
• Develop policies, standards, designs, and/or action plans related to governance strategy(ies), system integrity, and system integration requirements
• Apply data for business intelligence and analytics as they relate to organizational strategic planning and assessment efforts
• Provide recommendations and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality

• Develop performance metrics, conduct statistical analyses, and apply decision models to address business process challenges and organizational governance needs

• Conduct data analysis to answer inquiries while identifying trends, correlations, and other patterns across large data sets that enable data-driven decision-making
• Apply data models and automated analytical processes to generate reports and dashboards to inform program stakeholders on identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Perform data system operations associated with data acquisition, data maintenance, maintaining and updating metadata, and other data and information services for stakeholders
• Develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Atlassian tools and Power BI

• Must be a US Citizen per contract.
• Bachelor's degree with 7 yrs of relevant experience
• Must hold or be able to obtain Public Trust Suitability
• 5+ years' experience in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Atlassian tools, etc.
• Experience with designing data collection strategies on novel datasets
• Experience with extracting data from a variety of sources, transforming and integrating data in line with existing data, and loading data into data stores for access
• Proven ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
• Proven ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and end users
• Previous experience working with or supporting systems architects, data scientists, or analysts to ensure consistency of data delivery and utilization across multiple projects
