JOB SUMMARY
As a Data and Governance Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to understand data requirements and deliver data models and assets that support BCI Miami's business needs.
Implement Data Governance strategies in coordination with the BCI Chile Data Governance Team to ensure the security, quality, and compliance of BCI Miami's organizational information.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and understanding of Data Governance principles.

COMPUTER:
Ability to use operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Suite at an xxx level. Ability to operate AS400 is preferred, but not required. Ability to use other software as follows:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certification in data management or data governance are beneficial.

- Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet BCI Miami's business needs.
- Implement Data Governance strategies to maintain data quality, classification, and control.
- Implement Data Governance automation project. (Catalog, lineage, lifecycle, metadata, etc.)
- Establish data governance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to data stewards and data owners to manage the data domains and data assets effectively.
- Collaborate with BCI Chile and BCI Miami IT teams to integrate data governance controls into systems and applications.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to deliver presentations to various audiences and businesses teams.
- Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
- Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
- Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
- Travel as required
- Provide coverage for other positions as requested
- Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of proven experience with data transformation techniques to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Profound comprehension of data modeling, ETL processes and data integration concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerBI, Airflow, Purview and Databricks.
- Knowledge of Big Data and Data Lake technologies.
- Experience working within the Azure cloud platform.
- Familiarity with technologies applied to Data Governance.
