We are looking for Data Architect. This position will be based in Iselin, NJ.
  • As part of data product development teams, you are playing a key role in developing data products in our Siemens Financial Services Data Platform (Snowflake).
  • You support the business in detailing/ finalizing their technical requirements to ensure a fast and high qualitative data product development
  • Major focus is on developing of the data products via state-of-the-art data modelling approaches balancing compute costs, performance and long-term operability
  • This includes an end-to end delivery responsibility from taking over the requirements, developing the code of data products and moving them to production. To ensure long term usability and knowledge availability you as part of your data product team will operate the data products (jointly in co-creation with the Platform's Service Operations)

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within a regulated industry such as finance, insurance a/o health
  • 8+ years of experience as a data warehouse developer (SQL), preferably on cloud-based data warehouse technologies ideally Snowflake on Azure
  • 8+ years of experience in the end-to-end implementation of data warehouse requirements, especially in requirements recording, in requirements engineering/solution design, in areas of data modeling (e.g. DataVault2.0), SQL-driven development of business logic up to testing and deployment/release
  • 8+ years of programming knowledge of SQL and demonstrable in-depth knowledge of at least one other programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, Scala, C++)
  • 8+ years of on hands on experience in working in data modelling approaches, esp. Data Vault 2.0
  • 8+ years of on hands on experience in working with Data Warehouse Automation Tools such as dbt, DataVault Builder, WhereScape and Deployment Tools such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Gitbash, Git/ Github, etc.
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without need of sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data Product Driven Mindset and first experience with Data Mesh would be a big plus
  • Experience with Azure Synapse and Real Time Streaming would be a plus
  • Same is with Monitoring Tools such as Gravana, DataDog etc.
  • Structured way of working, team player, high agile mindset, as well as very good communication and presentation skills

  • The pay range for this position is $110,460-$189,360 and the annual incentive target will be 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
