About the Role:
As a CBRE Technical Manager, you'll lead a team in developing and maintaining standardized, best-practice operational processes for critical environment facilities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and safety regulations. This involves collaborating with facility operations and maintenance, delivering technical training, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and utilizing as-built drawings. You will maintain strong client and engineer communication, continuously improve preventive maintenance and safety programs, and provide technical support for incidents, projects, and emergencies. Further responsibilities include supporting asset management plans, ensuring statutory compliance, and contributing to strategic process improvements across the US portfolio.

- Critical Infrastructure Drawing and Document Management
- Site Operational RACI
- Staffing Analysis
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans
- Qualification & Human Error Training
- Mock Scenario Drills Testing
- Maintenance Planning
- Operational Procedures (SOP, EOP, MOP)
- Incident Support
- Critical Work Planning
- Critical Infrastructure Capacity Management
- Root Cause Analysis and After after-action reports
- Risk Register Management
- Data Center Floor Airflow Management
Leadership & Communication
- Highly adaptable and communicative leader with 10+ years of experience managing facility engineering teams.
- Proven ability to lead, plan, and execute strategic initiatives, thriving in dynamic environments and readily adapting to changing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences and mediums.
Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Expertise in Microsoft Teams and/or Microsoft Power BI
- Experienced with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Proficient in Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Information Management systems (DCIM), and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
- Skilled in Bluebeam and/or CAD software.
- Experience with work order analysis and report writing.
Technical Expertise & Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of data center critical infrastructure, including:
- Standby generators
- UPS systems
- Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs)
- Air-cooled and water-cooled chilled water plants
- Chilled water distribution systems
- Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs)
- Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs)
- Understanding of condenser, chilled, and process water filtration and treatment.
- Comprehension of psychrometric charts and related calculations.
- Familiar with ASHRAE Datacom Series of books
- Ability to read electrical one-lines, chilled and condenser water diagrams, and sequence of operations.
- Knowledge of safe working environments and generic mechanical & electrical sequence of operations.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
