Responsibilities:
- Design data architecture: Select technologies, write code, and develop storage solutions
- Build data pipelines: Connect systems, databases, and data warehouses to enable data flow.
- Development: Create rules to clean, standardize, and transform data
- Security: Implement security controls and access management policies
- Monitor system performance: Implement monitoring tools, troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
- Collaboration: Work with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Document best practices: Create technical designs, workflows, and documentation to share knowledge
Required Skills:
- Experience with SQL(Postgres is a plus) and NoSQL databases(Mongodb, Cassandra, InfluxDB, Clickhouse, ElastichSearch etc) required
- Experience with Data pipeline orchestration tools(Kestra, Airflow etc) required
- Experience with Data pipeline design required
- Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Python, Java required
- 10+ years of experience in Software Development with at least 7+ years acting as a Data Engineer or database administrator required
- Experience in IOT ingestion patterns
- Implementation of data pipelines using Kubernetes-ready workloads
- Experience with real-time analytics frameworks like Flink, Spark
- Experience with Clickhouse
- Experience with Kubeflow
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or 15+ years of experience in total preferred
