Career Summary:

The Data Governance team is looking for a dedicated and high-performing Data Engineer that builds and maintains data infrastructure and data pipelines to enable analytics including more advanced analytics and machine learning models.

Manages and coordinates with internal or external parties the collection, compilation, normalization, and standard analysis of data assets across diverse projects and data platforms. Serves as a data subject matter expert, collaborates with business owners or external clients to establish an analysis plan to answer key business questions, and delivers both reporting results and insights. Generates specific and operational reports in support of objectives and initiatives and presents and communicates complex analytical data and results to appropriate audiences.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data warehouses, data lakes and/or data lake houses.
  • Build and optimize data processing systems on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor data quality controls and data governance processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand data needs and develop solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and bottlenecks to improve data reliability and performance.
  • Follow best practices for security, compliance and privacy related to data access and usage


  • Automate and monitor data workflows to minimize manual intervention
  • Document data architecture, pipelines, and other technical processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to integrate systems and data better.
  • Performance tuning of data queries to improve data processing and usage.
  • Document processes and systems.


What you bring to ANE:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.


Related Work Experience:
  • Three (3) years or more building enterprise-level data solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Strong coding skills with languages like Python, Scala, Java.
  • Experience with big data tools like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Hadoop, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehouse solutions.
  • Understanding and experience deploying data modeling, ETL and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience with container and workflow orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
