Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire the data engineering team, engaging with business stakeholders to identify new opportunities, build strong business cases, prioritize initiatives, and develop strategic plans that maximize the company's return on investment.
  • Drive a collaborative and Agile software development approach that delivers high-velocity results with measurable ROI, while ensuring scalability, quality, and configurability of solutions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends-particularly in SaaS, cloud computing, automation, and DevOps-and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and generate business value.
  • Lead execution efforts by effectively managing a combination of in-house teams and outsourced services, both onshore and offshore, to achieve business outcomes.
  • Serve as a thought leader in defining and shaping the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) strategy.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Science teams to enhance analytics capabilities supported by the Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Represent the EDP team in collaboration with other IT teams to align on resource planning, project prioritization, and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee technical and quality governance for all team deliverables.
  • Work closely with leadership to promote data-driven decision-making and establish data as a core discipline within the organization.
  • Define and maintain best practices and frameworks for EDP in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement by setting clear goals, challenging outdated approaches, and establishing key performance metrics.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams, managing resources, and setting performance goals, with a proven ability to recognize excellence and address performance challenges proactively.
  • Extensive experience in managing and delivering data engineering solutions, particularly in data warehousing using Snowflake.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing data platforms utilizing DBT, Airbyte, Snowflake, and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience in building BI/analytics solutions with demonstrated proficiency in data analysis.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale data migration projects, including data ingestion, modeling, transformation, and consumption.
  • Deep technical knowledge spanning cloud infrastructure, system development, cloud architecture, and SaaS solutions, with the ability to dive into technical details and guide teams effectively.
  • Strong leadership in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while building high-performing development teams.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly terms.
  • Passion for fostering a data-driven culture, driving innovation, and establishing accountability through performance metrics.
