Need a data governance coordinator to help on policy, procedures and process management:
- Responsible for data curation including process definition and implementation in collaboration with engineering teams, reporting and audit management
- Help implementing new working process and new tools including vendor management, tool configuration, training and documentation
- Support policy and training updates including team interviews, documentation and communication
- Responsible for assisting with the planning, developing and implementation of compliance / audit / monitoring projects including GDPR and CPPA
Required Skills
- 1-3 years of compliance and audits experience
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong prioritization and project management skills, including timely and proactive communications of timelines, status, issue escalation
- A demonstrated ability to query large datasets using SQL, Hive, Python, or similar languages
- A nagging intellectual curiosity and an utmost attention to detail that drives you to self-audit your work and understand complex systems
- An ability to clearly and effectively communicate and maintain relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners
- Basic knowledge or experience in querying in Hadoop environments
- Hands-on experience and fluency with big data and traditional database technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Vertica, and relational databases, such as Teradata)
- Leadership skills to influence stakeholders and see projects through to timely completion in an agile environment, but this person should be tech savvy and understand technical terms
Education
- Required
Bachelor's degree Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. - Preferred
Privacy, Security, or Compliance certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CISSP)
