Position Description

Dynamic Systems, Inc. (DSI) is a leading mechanical and process construction contractor committed to empowering our teams with high-quality data, powerful analytics, and integrated decision-making tools. We leverage Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to drive innovation across accounting, construction project management, and ERP systems.

As our need for external data integration grows, we're seeking a dedicated Data Integration Specialist to own the ingestion, transformation, and validation of third-party and system-level data pipelines-ensuring our Microsoft Fabric environment is scalable, clean, and optimized for downstream analytics.

This is an in-office job in Buda, Texas.

What You'll Do

External Data Ingestion & Pipeline Development (Primary Focus)
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from APIs, SFTP, databases, and other external sources into Microsoft Fabric's Lakehouse/Warehouse environment.
  • Ensure all ingested data meets schema, security, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate ingestion schedules and system dependencies.

Transformation & Quality Control
  • Cleanse, transform, and normalize ingested data for use in semantic modeling and reporting layers.
  • Perform data validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring for pipeline integrity.
  • Automate and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools compatible with Fabric.

Collaboration with BI & DevOps Teams
  • Work closely with BI Developers to ensure data aligns with model/report needs.
  • Partner with DevOps to integrate pipelines into version-controlled CI/CD workflows.
  • Document pipelines and maintain a clear lineage using Visio or similar tools.


Position Requirements

What We're Looking For

Technical Must-Haves
Experience with data ingestion into Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse or Data Warehouse environments.
Proficiency in Python, T-SQL, and RESTful APIs.
Experience building scalable ETL/ELT processes.
Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Dataflows, or Fabric Pipelines.
Understanding of data governance practices including schema management and data security.

Preferred Experience
Prior experience with construction, ERP, or job-costing data.
Hands-on work with RLS/CLS planning, even if not implementing it directly.
Exposure to Power BI workflows and how upstream data impacts modeling/reporting.

Proactive communicator who collaborates well with BI Developers, Project Managers, and business stakeholders.
