SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada's next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

The Data Management Lead role involves overseeing and leading the successful delivery of documentation for SkyAlyne, ensuring compliance with established processes, and supporting future process improvements. The Data Management Lead will also support the implementation and enhancement of the document delivery workflow system by managing its functional aspects and being actively involved in the system implementation process.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to the approved data management (DM) process and standards by collaborating and communicating with both internal teams and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain DM repositories for document storage and retrieval.
- Identify, forecast, and track all deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Identify and configuration manage all technical and program artifacts.
- Provide training and ongoing support to data management analysts.
- Support the functional implementation of the data management system and serve as its administrator.
- Actively participate in the system implementation process to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
- Be accountable for DM costs, schedules, and technical performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Subject-matter expert in data management.
- Bachelor's degree, preferable in Business, Information Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in document or data management, obtained through a combination of an advanced education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, being able to interface and support large teams, including customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Experience in managing document delivery and workflow processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using document management systems and related software tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level).
- Be able to hold Government of Canada site/information access certifications, including accessing Protected "B" information, Controlled Goods Clearance, and ITAR Clearance.
- Experience in the Defence and Aerospace industries would be an asset.
