We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Enterprise Data Manager to lead our data initiatives and cultivate a data-driven culture across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight:
    • Oversee and guide the work of the Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst
    • Lead the implementation of the data roadmap for the organization
    • Drive the adoption of a new data platform across departments
    • Coordinate and support departmental business intelligence (BI) activities
  • Data Governance:
    • Establish and enforce organization-wide data governance policies
    • Implement and manage a comprehensive data catalog
    • Develop and maintain data quality standards and practices
    • Monitor and report on the progress of data initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations
  • Collaboration & Culture:
    • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization
    • Collaborate with Business Relationship Partners to identify data needs and solutions
    • Provide/coordinate training and support for data-related tools and processes
    • Facilitate a data community of practice for the organization
    • Promote the use of data analytics to drive decision-making
    • Grow data visualization and dashboard development across the organization
  • Innovation & Integration:
    • Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and methodologies
    • Enhance the organization's data maturity
    • Find and encourage opportunities to leverage publicly accessible open data
  • Technical Tasks:
    • Data Engineering: Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to ensure efficient and accurate data flow
    • Data Science: Conduct advanced data analysis, build predictive models, and apply machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from data
    • Report Development: Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders

Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or directly related field, five years of professional experience related to assignment and two years of supervisory experience

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or directly related field
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and platforms (ideally Power BI)

  • Background in data engineering, data science, and BI report development, with proven experience in leading data initiatives
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, and business intelligence
  • Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing a team
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy and security regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Driving organizational change and fostering a data-driven culture
  • Managing projects with a strong track record of successfully implementing data initiatives
ADA and Other Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment.
