Job Location - Fort Mills SC (Day One Onsite, Hybrid)

  • The Data Modeler is responsible for the development of high performance, scalable enterprise data models on cloud platform. Should possess strong SQL skills with excellent data modelling skills. Needs to be well versed in the Inmon and Kimball methodologies. Should participate in various activities throughout the systems development lifecycle.
  • Support new and existing development projects with data and process modeling activities.
  • Provide Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models.
  • Create and maintain custom and vendor provided data technical dictionaries for all business systems.
  • Be responsible for the development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS, operational data store (ODS) and data marts on target platforms.
  • Communicates project status, issues, and resolutions with appropriate Lead and/or Managers.
  • Estimates level of effort for work assignments and requests received, then communicate accordingly to the Project Manager to determine delivery time.
  • Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management.
  • Evaluating existing data systems, the data structures, relationships, and their data models
  • Work with business teams to understand the requirement and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models in the data warehouse.
  • Develop data pipelines on AWS using AWS services, HVR, and DBT Required:
  • 8-10 years of experience in data modeling principles, including conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • 6-8 years of database development experience, using stored procedures, functions and other Database objects.
  • Expert in writing complex SQL and optimizing it.
  • Experience developing data pipelines on AWS


Required Skills

  • Intensive Experience at designing relational and dimensional data models on all Modeling Levels of Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models.
  • Strong Experience at CA Erwin Data Modeler, Erwin Mart and Erwin Web Portal is Mandatory.
  • Working experience in data governance defining a business data dictionary and business metadata.
  • proven, hands-on data modeling and enterprise software design experience in financial industries for OLTP, ODS, Data Warehouse systems.
  • Have experience at Domain Driven Data Models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • experience communicating with engineers, software professionals, product management and executives to succinctly explain technical and functional concepts.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers, with a deep curiosity to understand them, their motivations and needs, and how to approach ensuring their success
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
  • Strong hands-on experience at SQL including Performance tuning, DDL, DML and Complex Queries.
  • Good To Prior Experience with Postgres Database.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
