Job Details

• Capacity planning, configuring, deploying, and maintaining Databricks clusters, workspaces, and Snowflake infrastructure on Azure cloud platforms.
• Automating the provisioning and deployment of these resources using Terraform to ensure consistency and repeatability by treating infrastructure as code.
• Monitoring and optimizing Databricks cluster performance and Snowflake resource utilization, troubleshooting issues to maintain optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Implementing and managing access controls, RBAC, and security policies to protect sensitive data, along with developing environment strategies and governance frameworks based on industry best practices.
• Providing technical support to users of Databricks and Snowflake, including issue resolution.
• Developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to understand their requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Enforcing data governance, quality, and enterprise standards, while utilizing tools like Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, and Snowflake Polaris,
• Supports a robust production environment and ensures compliance and data quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering
• Proven track record in architecting and delivering cloud-native data solutions on Azure using Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in Azure, Databricks and Snowflake
• Strong skills in data warehousing and Lakehouse technologies with hands-on experience in Azure, Databricks, Delta Lake and Snowflake
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration and dashboarding tools.

$145,000 - $190,000 a year
