- Consult with internal and external clients regarding external insights. Provide support to other senior data scientists across the organization. Perform critical reviews of data experiments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and feasibility. Identify and deploy new algorithms or combinations of algorithms in creative ways to achieve performance improvement. Devise new approaches to solve difficult statistical modeling problems; this includes new model concepts and designs, such as different targets and objective functions, and new or different uses of data sources. Develop machine-learning models, create and provide analysis code, and work with internal or external stakeholders to validate accuracy of production scoring code. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 2 years of experience: building machine learning models, natural language processing, and scores in the financial industry; coding in ECL language & HPCC systems; with data governance and best practices for feature creation, data manipulation, standardization, and cleaning; understanding compliance needs in financial services and/or banking regarding both consumer and business data; creating re-usable tools, interactive dashboarding, and results presentation/reporting systems such as Quarto; evaluating new data sources against existing data when predicting credit, fraud, and other outcomes; coding at an intermediate to advanced level in both Python and R.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
