Job Title: Data Standards Lead

Location: Virginia Hybrid/Remote

AttainX, Inc. is in search of a Data Standards Lead to provide expert leadership and guidance to our federal government client. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the overall efforts to expand the development, implementation, and maintenance of data standards across the client agency's current and future systems. This will be accomplished by identifying key strategies, developing, and presenting recommendation packages including impact assessments, consulting with external offices as needed, implementing the approved data standards, and developing monitoring and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in facilitating success in establishing data standards, data management, and leading the technical and human aspects of data-related projects.
• Meet one of the conditions below:
• 10+ year of professional experience in project management, OR
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Policy Development, or a similar field.
• Proven experience leading the development and implementation of data standards.
• Knowledge and understanding of data standards principles, practices, tools, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Expert analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise data architectures, analytics platforms, and reporting tools.

• Initiative-taker, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
• Attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a USCIS security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably have USCIS background and client experience.
• Certification in data management or data governance
• Proven knowledge of federal data policies, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, OMB M-19-18, Federal Data Strategy).

Duties:

• Support the creation and refinement of data standards to ensure consistency and quality across the agency's systems.
• Oversee the implementation of approved data standards in current and future systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and recommend key strategies for expanding and maintaining data standards.
• Identify and support efforts to proactively identify data intake standardization and implement quality checks to result in quality data that has integrity and is interoperable and system agnostic.
• Identify gaps and support work to further mature data integrity across the enterprise.
• Conduct analyses to determine and report on root cause(s) of data issues.
• Identify categories and trends of data issues and root causes to determine and recommend remediation procedures.
• Perform analysis and gap assessment of current data quality issue tracking and identify activities to improve maturity and use of quality remediation processes.
