Description:
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is hiring a Data Systems Manager for our Texas Family First Prevention Services (TXFFPS) program. The Data Systems Manager works under the direction of the TX Family First Preventions Services Unit Program Director VI. S/He performs data system analysis tasks. It involves collecting, analyzing and integrating essential divisional data/information, as well as making recommendations that require a high level of technical competency. Generates reports in various systems to ensure data compliance as mandated by contractual and performance outcomes. The Data System Manager will enter data in accordance with departmental/organizational procedures into specific information systems databases, as well as into the state agency Department of Family and Protective Services(DFPS) data management systems. May serve as the division's liaison to the Information Technology Department.

Your role in Action:
- Serves as the primary divisional generator of data reports from various data/software systems.
- Tracks and trends in data accuracy, and provides reports to the following
- Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) staff,
- Evidence based contractors - MST and High Fidelity Wrap Around,
- TX Family First Program Director,
- Director of Children's Mental Health Services and other designated staff.
- Provides technical assistance to the division as needed and requested by Program Director
- Serves as the primary divisional liaison with the agency IT Department.
- Monitors and research data errors in the various data/software systems.
- Provides the Directors/managers with monthly reports that will support clinical decision making, organizational decision making, indicators for continuing education staff, as well as performance improvement issues.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, adapts to a changing work environment
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, technology or related field
Experience :
- Must have two (2) years years experience working with databases and spreadsheets and producing reports identifying , clarifying, collecting and operationalizing relevant outcome measures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Must be able to communicate clearly and possess strong analytical skills. Must have working knowledge and experience with computer operating systems and software.
- Must have well-developed interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills and be a team player with a desire to provide high level of customer service. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interacts effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook
- Knowledge of HIPPA Privacy and Security Rules.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate all related computer hardware and software. Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail. Strong problem solving abilities.
