LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Database Administrator / Project Manager to join our team.

Location: Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia

Job Description:

The database administrator / project manager will provide secure, scalable database administration and project management support to the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program. The ideal professional in this role has strong technical and leadership capabilities who can manage IT systems and guide cross-functional data projects that support human performance optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer secure OHWS data systems and databases.
  • Develop data architectures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Lead IT projects, coordinate tech reviews, manage scope/timeline.
  • Support and coach users on data systems.
  • Submit monthly data reports and briefings.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in database administration, including leading IT projects and implementing enterprise-wide database solutions.
  • Expert in backup procedures, data security, and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of Government IT certification/accreditation process and compliance frameworks.
  • High level of proficiency in IT project management
  • Must meet minimum requirements of DoDM 8140.03 Role 421 (Intermediate Level).
  • PMP or equivalent IT project management certification.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Skilled in SQL, system architecture, compliance, cybersecurity.
  • Strong communicator, capable of and comfortable with presenting to stakeholders.
  • Familiar with DoD IT compliance and project documentation.
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft suite of applications as well as enterprise communication tools.
  • Basic understanding of Human Performance programs (preferred).
