JOB SUMMARY:
The Database Administrator is responsible for database creation, configuration, tuning, security, backup procedures and restores if necessary, capacity planning and monitoring. They support a variety of environments (development, test, training and production), and manage changes across environments as specified by change control procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Job Duties
Install and configure MS SQL server Engine/SSRS/SSIS/SSAS to team Best practices
Work closely with application teams to perform database tasks for new application testing and production implementation
Monitor and maintain system health and security
Performance tuning as needed for performance
Create accounts for all users and assign security levels
Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
Schedule and perform regular SQL server maintenance as per ITIL standards
Proactively work to mitigate Risks associated with database instances supported
Participate in multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

4+ years' professional SQL DBA experience (Versions 2012-2019)
Experience with the high availability and Business Continuity features like "Always On" Mirroring, log shipping and Windows Clustering
Experience with MS Replication and or "Change Data Capture"
Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
Familiarity with reporting tools SSRS and PowerBI
PowerShell scripting experience is a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance
Experience with Insurance claims systems is a plus
Experience with Encryption, and data scrubbing is a plus
Proficient working knowledge of Transact SQL language
Knowledge of hardware, Windows OS, VM or network impact on SQL is a plus

- Responsible for the daily operation, support and monitoring of relational databases
- Develop and maintain processes for the monitoring, backup, restoration, tuning, and general support of the relational databases
- Establish and maintain development/testing environments for the various relational database applications
- Provide reports to management related to disposition of various applications with recommendations that will keep correct any problems
