ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Database Administrator in the Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, deploy and maintain client and database platforms.
- Maintain day-to-day operations and evaluates key business organizational challenges; directs the development of new or innovative solutions.
- Manages database utilities, monitors the relationship between the database users and applications
- Create scripts used for database upgrades and testing; utilizes test environments to evaluate proposed changes and patches
- Maintain the organization's database across multiple platforms and computing environments
- Supervisor and mentor staff members
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ten years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
- Must be able to maintain the integrity, availability, and security of multiple SQL Servers
- Must be proficient in performing a wide of server and database activities from maintaining, modifying, and providing quality assurance and testing of patches, and planned upgrades.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations
- Creates Web front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, C, VB or other languages to make business applications accessible
- IAT Level II Certification such as Security+
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
- SQL Server Security
- ESRI ArcGIS
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Must complete additional suitability screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
- Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Working with computers.
