- The installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of database systems.
- They ensure databases are available, reliable, and performant. DBAs also work to protect databases from unauthorized access and data breaches.
Skills Needed:
- Strong understanding of database concepts and technologies, such as relational databases, SQL, and database management systems
- Experience with database administration tools and utilities
- Ability to work with large datasets and complex queries
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
