EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Education (Educational Leadership/Administration Preferred).
- Valid Michigan School Administrative Certification.
- Previous Administrative Experience Preferred.
- Minimum Five Successful Years Teaching Experience (Elementary Preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES, AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the operation of the school in compliance with Board of Education policies under the direction of the Superintendent
- Visionary leadership with planning skills and attention to detail
- Provides for the physical, intellectual, and emotional safety of students and staff in order for effective teaching and learning to take place
- Experience leading and/or working in an MTSS model
- Experience in improving student achievement
- Ability to analyze student data and incorporate strategic interventions
- Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholder groups verbally and in writing
- Ability to successfully supervise and monitor multiple staff employee groups
- Assist with the planning and administering of high-quality professional development
- Ability to build and sustain positive school culture
- Provide instructional leadership with a coaching and feedback mindset
- Ability to collect and analyze achievement, perception, and demographic data to develop a school improvement plan/vision
- High-level understanding of Elementary Curriculum
- Partner with the school community to promote student learning
- Participate in school academic and co-curricular activities to supervise and advocate for the school
- Assist in the recruiting, screening, and recommending of qualified candidates for positions on the staff
- Effectively manage the building budget
- Establish procedures for the evaluation and selection of instructional materials/equipment
