We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Datacenter IT Services Manager to join our HPC and Cloud Solutions team based in Houston.
Reporting to the Data Centre Manager, the successful candidate will lead the team responsible for managing the computer systems and data housed within our High-Performance Computing (HPC) data centre. They will ensure the integrity, security, confidentiality, and availability of data for both internal and external stakeholders, while also maintaining the performance and capacity of HPC infrastructure, including CPUs, GPUs, storage, and related systems.
This position involves close collaboration with the Data Centre Manager and plays a critical role in customer service, team leadership, equipment maintenance, and asset lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. A proven track record in managing a wide range of activities within an HPC data centre IT team is essential.
The role requires regular on-site presence at the data centre, with some flexibility for remote work. A professional, detail-oriented approach and a continuous service improvement mindset are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Data Centre IT Services team
- Enhance and maintain operational processes and documentation
- Manage incidents, problems, and change control procedures
- Ensure adherence to data centre standards and general upkeep
- Support the Data Centre Manager with capacity planning
- Oversee the maintenance, installation, and upgrading of data centre servers
- Develop and manage the data backup strategy and implementation
- Plan and prepare for potential disruptions, issues, and emergencies
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards
- Act as Deputy to the Data Centre Manager during their absence
- Collaborate with and provide technical resources to the Project Team
- Transition new solutions from the Project Team into operational use within the data centre
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in relevant IT or data centre roles
- At least 1 year of experience in an IT leadership or supervisory position
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred
