The Dealership Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the dealership, including contracts and billings, DMV, wholesales/dealer trades, inventory and flooring. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day activities within the office environment.

Compensation: $90,000-$120,000/year

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and consistent application of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Providing sales and gross analysis across the new and used car departments
  • Oversee general ledger activities, inventory, and cost analysis.
  • Maintain proficiency in accounting software and systems.
  • Work closely with departments to manage schedules and monitor and track asset aging.
  • Assist in periodic inventory audits to ensure proper asset management.
  • Manage the Axcessa system daily and conduct weekly check-ins to review outstanding items with staff.
  • Lead weekly Heat Sheet and Asset meetings with department heads to discuss financial matters.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment for team members.
  • Ensure month-end procedures are completed accurately and on time, including all necessary reconciliations and reports.

Communication and leadership:
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure the smooth flow of financial information.
  • Lead, motivate, and support financial teams in achieving their objectives.
  • Conduct daily huddles with team members to review progress, address issues, and promote team development.
  • Provide conflict resolutions and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment for team members.

What We're Looking For :
  • 5 years of experience in Dealership Accounting
  • Experience with CDK preferred
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with web-based programs, and proficient in Excel, including Vlookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables
  • A self-starter with a strong ethical compass.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A team player who is coachable and strives to grow.
  • Someone who enjoys a friendly, collaborative workplace and isn't afraid of hard work, balanced with fun and recognition.
