Littleton High School is an International Baccalaureate World School where all students in grades 8-10 are enrolled in IB Middle Years Program courses. Students in grades 11-12 opt in to the IB Diploma Program. LHS also offers a full complement of AP classes, as well as a STEM Certificate, and Early High School, a unique full-day program for eighth graders on the LHS campus.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dean recognizes problems associated with student performance and behavior and actively contributes to their resolution. This position assists in the opening and closing of the school. This position promotes and follows Board of Education policies and procedures and other regulations or procedures that may be established by the central or building administration. The Dean provides assistance in establishing an environment for excellence with clear expectations for student performance and appropriate behavior. The Dean works to provide a climate under which students exercise self discipline,honesty, leadership and citizenship.

Inspires a shared vision that leads to collective action for enhancing student growth, performance and self-esteem
Anticipates problems and conflicts and views them as opportunities to initiate thoughtful action and productive innovation
Uses and encourages rigorous and creative thinking that challenges current practices, honors diversity and leads to better outcomes
Communicate and collaborates across the organization and community with the intent of building trust, developing relationships, involving other in decision-making, sharing information and fostering teamwork
Shapes an "environment for excellence" that models honesty and integrity, foster self-motivated and self-renewing behavior and enables and entrusted others to perform at their best
Support continuous growth, fulfillment and vitality of self and others so as to add value to the organization
Evaluates performance and progress of self, students, personnel, programs and the organization toward realization of the district mission, outcomes and values

Successful applicants must be properly licensed for assignment as a Professional Educator according to the Colorado Department of Education.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: (Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE)
WORK YEAR: 187 contract days (district educator calendar)
