OVERALL DESCRIPTION:

To improve the quality of instruction for students in the District by providing services that will create a positive environment for the instructional process

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enforce and administer the disciplinary policies for the District by investigating, adjudicating and assigning consequences in those cases where student referrals are forwarded.
  • Assist in the evaluation of certified staff.
  • Monitor student attendance as documented by attendance office, teaming with staff and parents to maintain compliance and accurate records.
  • Accept the primary responsibility for the supervision of students throughout the school day and during designated extra-curricular activities. Assist in the organization and supervision of designated student activities.
  • Organize and assist in the supervision of parking, traffic control, cafeteria and hall supervisors, locker assignments and campus security
  • Maintain communication with students as evidenced by daily log records, class visitations and participation in student activities.
  • Assist the Principal, Director of Student Services, counselors, teachers and other school specialists to affect a successful plan for individuals with significant issues limiting their success at school including conferences with teachers and/or parents.
  • Assist the Principal in administrative meetings and preside over designated committees. Lead Problem-Solving Teams.
  • Assist the Assistant Principals in the development of curriculum and scheduling.
  • Assist the Principal and Assistant Principals with new staff and student orientation.
  • Pursue continuous personal and professional growth.
  • Such other duties as assigned by the Principal.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Administrative Endorsement Required

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. At least two years teaching or administrative experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

193 day Administrator's contract, salary and benefits established annually by the Board of Education. Starting Salary - $92,000 annually or higher commensurate with equivalent work experience.
