JOB GOAL
District-wide leader and administrator of the Division of Workforce Development, Career and Technical Education degrees and college credit/technical certificates. Serves as the College's representative for these programs with state agencies, councils and committees. Provides administrative leadership and guidance and monitors the effectiveness of instruction and learning within the areas of Workforce Development, Career and Technical Education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServes as the College's principal administrator for workforce/career/technical programs, collaborating closely with the President, Vice President, Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, other Academic Deans and Associate Deans. Prepares, updates and recommends to the Vice President, Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, Campus Provost, and/or the Council on Academic Affairs new and revised student learning outcomes, course objective, competencies, initiatives to improve instructional quality, improvements in academic programs, and instructional resources for the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs. Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education, establishes and monitors appropriate instructional standards and program reviews for the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs. Assists in preparing applications for grants, implements and oversees grant activities and monitors budget expenditures in conformance with the terms of approved grant funded initiatives in the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs. Maintains current job descriptions and recruits for the employment of full-time faculty and staff assigned to the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs and of adjunct faculty on the West Campus. In collaboration with the Vice President, Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, and Campus Provosts in preparing recommendations regarding the credentialing, hiring, transfer, promotion, suspension and dismissal of full-time faculty and staff assigned to the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs. Collaborate with Campus Provosts to develop full-time and adjunct faculty within the division to ensure they are current in their field and student ready and resolves any complaints within the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education. Prepares, in collaboration with the Campus Provosts, annual performance evaluations, including the review of student evaluations, for all Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Educationprogramsstaffandfull-timefacultyandisthesecondarysupervisorforadjunct faculty assigned to the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs. Recruits, recommends, and manages recommendstheappointmentofProgramDirectorsin collaboration with theVicePresident, Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer. Collaborates with Campus Provosts, Associate Deans, Program Directors and full-time faculty to develop and maintain Master Course Outlines, syllabi, course schedules,newprograms,and other curriculum within the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Educationprograms. Keepsabreastofrelevantfederalandstatelaws,policies,andregulationsthatpertaintotheDivision of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Educationprograms and be responsive to any related surveys and reports. Prepares, implements and evaluates unit objectives for the College's Strategic Plan. Initiates and reviews budget requests prepared for the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education programs and serves as the budget supervisor for all accounts assigned to the Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Educationprograms. Coordinatesthe marketing and recruitment efforts with the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management and the Executive Director of Marketing andCommunications. Remains updated and initiates appropriate measures to ensure the college is in compliance with regional and discipline accreditation standards. Maintain any related District Board of Trustees Rules and Internal Management Memorandas. Serves as a member of the President's Administrative Leadership Team, Council on Academic Affairs andother councils and committees as assigned by the President. Serves as Tech Prep Director. Promotes Tech Prep concepts within the consortium. Oversees the articulation agreements with the Pasco and Hernando schooldistricts. Coordinates academic matters for the Division of Workforce Development/Career/Technical Education programs and for programs and courses offered by the Office of Corporate Training and ContinuingEducation. Recommends the establishment of appropriate technical advisory committees and their membership. Collaborates with the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health on any workforce initiatives. Assures College representation on the technical advisory committees and serves as a point person for any related associations, councils, and committees to ensure continuous improvement. Promotes the coordination of career/technical programs and curriculum with the Pasco and Hernando school districts for Division of Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education. Works in concert with the Campus Provosts in the coordination of campus computer laboratory activities and conductsregularinformationalandin-servicetrainingmeetingswithcampuscomputerlaboratorytechnicians. - A Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a related field from a regionally accredited institution in the Division of Workforce Development/ Career/Technical Education programs, or at least 3-5 years of experience managing Workforce Development/ Career/Technical Education programs, including Federal-Perkins funds and industry certifications at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- 3-5 years postsecondary teaching experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Workingknowledgeandskillsrelatedtopersonalcomputercompetenciesand mainframe computers for academic and student programs.
- Ability to lead effective teams.
