This candidate must reside in the Orlando area and will drive into the office during the work week at least 3 days.
This position is for a Delivery Manager of the Global Project Engineering and Management organization for our customer base. This position supports multiple sets of facets on the network, wireless, infrastructure components in different locations (West Coast, East Coast, International, etc.) areas.
The right candidate will have experience providing technical oversight for the technical engineering team which consists of about 24 engineers and 3 technical Leads.
Specific skills:
A solid grasp of network layers 1, 2, & 3 in a Cisco environment is necessary as this is needed to be the point person for technical issues, engineer project assignments, labor cost estimates assistance, issues, and a professional image to the customer.
Technical Leadership & Oversight - Candidates must have experience providing technical oversight of network engineering team.
The technical Sr. Manager will need to be able to: a) Decipher new configurations on a Mop against the production network configurations. b) Complete and review Visio network Designs, c) Maintain and keep current internal and customer Libraries as required. D) Perform reviews and is the main issue point for all staff. E) Assist in helping with change issues and be a 3rd set of eyes on changes as required. F) Understanding and capabilities within Data Center environments and overall understanding of firewall concepts and standards.
Provide some Pre-Sales Network Engineering responses according to customer requirements and attend many high profile project meetings as needed by the project Management Office.
Able to provide guidance and directions on Network testing and new builds using virtual tools.
Able to update and make changes. Provide better controls or process updates as they evaluates overall work performance. Very important in this position.
Able to provide guidance and directions on Network Routing, Switching Expertise among others.
NOTE: Candidates must have experience configuring network (L1, L2, L3) across a large multi-national organization on Cisco routers; Catalyst, ISR & ASR platforms.
Coordination Experience - Review network and technical requirement portions of the project for the customer and provide the outcomes that best provide an overall solution agreed by the customer and implemented successfully if necessary.
Able to stand in for a technical lead to assist in assigning engineers based on ability and skills. Provide cost estimations on high end project work based on scopes.
Communication skills - Candidate must be able to interact and document as needed for internal collaboration and review areas of need. Working with the Sr. Director and the Change Manager formulate training and updates to all staff on proper process and controls to be handed down both for customer work and operational turnover.
Must maintain a high-level degree of approvals. Have an excellent rapport with the customer and other operational groups. The candidate is required to work and communicate effectively with many groups and needs to make sure social skills are of high quality.
Good communication skills and documentation writing.
Building a good foundation working relationship with internal operations and customer architecture organization.
Technical Qualifications
8+ years' experience leading a team of engineers in a fast pace environment
Extensive experience with various Cisco platforms; Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR
Lab testing, setups, etc. with virtual tools; GNS3 and EVE-NG
Understanding and worked with Firewalls and Data Center implementations
Understanding or technical project requirements provided by the customer
High level of use with ServiceNow
