Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We are seeking a Demand Planning Manager who will provide assistance and support to the Master Scheduler by maintaining valid and realistic materials acquisition signals within the ERP/MRP system.

The selected candidate will schedule material demand in support of Sales/Stocking Agreements, Current Customer Orders and evolving material demand requirements as needed. The Demand Planning Manager will ensure effective communication within the business and coordinate with Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, and Engineering. The primary purpose of this job is to assist in meeting the expectations for on-time delivery of orders to the customer and moderate the flow of material demand to align with the pace of production. This person will create or modify part attributes in the system to align with business objectives and will effectively and consistently communicate and coordinate customer and material delivery detail and moderate the flow of information between internal stakeholders.

This position is on-site (not remote or hybrid) at our Tualatin headquarters and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements
Creates material plans and schedules: Ensuring that production can meet the scheduled requirements and sets target date for material arrival using input from customer service and comparing to capacity, component availability, and factoring backlog to provide real time ATP feedback to Sales and Customer Service.
Monitors production processes: Assists in identifying issues impacting schedule adherence and recommends improvements using capacity data will help identify areas of constraint.
Forecasts production needs: Analyzes historical sales data combined with forward-looking business needs to plan for future production and component requirements.
Monitors inventory: Keeps track of inventory levels to ensure the company has enough stock to satisfy customer demand and balances it against operational capacity. Creates min/max and safety stock levels to ensure inventory levels align with customer demand. Communicates with internal stakeholders as business needs evolve.
Operational KPIs: Measures the overall success of the production plan and ensures company objectives are met. Primary KPIs are the accuracy of adherence to plan and Customer OTD but may include inventory valuation (including WIP) and timeline between acquisition of material to recognition of revenue.

Primary Responsibilities:
Continuously reviews customer demand to ensure material acquisition signals are entered correctly.
Supports master schedule goals and reviews with Master Scheduler, Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain. Identifies areas that require modification to ship dates based on process/material status.
Ensures that changes are communicated and properly entered for visibility.
Communicates and works with Supply Chain to expedite materials or extend delivery expectations in alignment with customer requests and operational capacity.
Maintains and updates processes related to materials.
Represents Material Planning in meetings with Finance, Manufacturing, and Engineering regarding process routers.
Monitors outside process delivery commitments, through communication with Supply Chain.
Works with Engineers and Supply Chain to ensure that part entry and supporting attributes reflect business intent.

Required Skills:
Positive mental attitude and self-motivated; ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Bachelor's degree preferred, though consideration will be given to those with equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum four years of related professional experience with at least two of those years in a Production Planner/Scheduler/Analyst position within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated understanding of ERP/MRP functionality related to demand planning. Preference for previous experience with Epicor/Kinetic.
Proficiency in the use of analytical tools to support business operations.
Good oral, written and presentation skills.
Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
Demonstrated and effective organizational skills.

Compensation / Benefits:
  • $75,000 to $90,000 DOE

Salary Description

$75,000 to $90,000 DOE
