Description:
Dental and Orthodontic Billing Manager has oversight of the day-to-day of the Dental Claims, Follow-Up, and Denials units. To ensure the dental receivables are collected effectively and timely. Candidates must have management experience within the acute Dental and Orthodontics billing, reimbursement, and compliance arena and be able to demonstrate a history of successful Patient Accounting, Revenue Cycle and clinical services.
Possess a solid understanding of physician billing practices, ICD-10, and CDT coding. Analyze provider documentation to ensure the appropriate levels and CDT codes are captured appropriately. Perform additional duties as assigned to support billing operations to achieve departmental cash goals and operational benchmarks.
A. Associate's degree or/with over 15 years of Dental Billing experience, Dental Assistant.
B. 10 years' progressive experience working within Acute Care Hospital Revenue Cycle or Business Office including 5 years at Management.
C. Extensive experience with Dental reimbursement to professional and facility claims submission, collection and analysis (APC, APG, ADA, Professional payment methodology and Dental Managed Care Contracts)
D. Understanding of insurance eligibility and benefit design, prior-authorizations, ABN's, coordination of benefits, financial clearance and financial assistance.
E. Dental, Orthodontic and Professional billing denials and appeals management experience
F. Experience with managed care contract; reimbursement and administrative terms and terminology
G. High degree of proficiency utilizing and/or configuring Dental and Orthodontic patient accounting, claims scrubber and contract management information systems
H. Working knowledge of CDT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding principles.

J. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
