Minimum and Additional Requirements
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of South Carolina. Graduation from an approved school of Dentistry.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of dental experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

- Will provide direct dental care to assigned inmate population, while operating within the guidelines of SCDC's policies and procedures.
- Manages and supervises the operations of the assigned dental clinic to ensure compliance with appropriate standards.
- Manages and supervises the dental assistant assigned to the clinic.
- As directed by Division Director of Dentistry, assists with providing dental care at other SCDC institutions as needed.
