Job Summary:

The Native American Community Clinic (NACC) is seeking a Dentist to join our team and lead our growing dental department. The right candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, culturally competent dental care that makes a meaningful and measurable difference in addressing oral health disparities within the community we serve. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing NACC's impact on oral health through leadership, program development, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat diseases and other conditions of the oral cavity.
  • Examine hard and soft tissues of oral cavity and surrounding structures for disease and other abnormalities.
  • Perform x-ray procedures and interpret x-rays.
  • Chart patient's oral condition and based on their diagnosis devise treatment plan.
  • Administer prescribed controlled drugs, nitrous oxide analgesia and local anesthesia.
  • Perform operative, endodontic, fixed and removable prosthetic and oral surgery procedures.
  • May perform periodontal surgery, oral biopsies and limited orthodontic treatment.
  • Provide skilled dental treatment in a time effective manner so that patient will receive comprehensive dental care
  • Working with EDR system to quickly and efficiently enter and retrieve data.
  • Chart complete and detailed services on all clients at the time of service so that records are kept accurate, legible, and complete.
  • Serve as adjunct faculty for UMN school of dentistry to oversee dental students.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for dental practice to comply with the Quality Improvement Minimum Standards set by the (ADD IN YOUR AGENCIES)
  • Participate in quarterly peer review audits.
  • Establish consulting relationships with dental specialists so that clients receive the benefits of services not provided by the clinic.
  • Provide dental education to clients or community groups as requested.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:
    • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree and a valid dental license in the state of Minnesota.
    • Current Registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
    • Demonstrated commitment to cultural competency and providing care to underserved communities.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
