The Deposits Risk Leader (Issues & Redress) will lead a team of senior specialists, specialists and analysts focused on ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidance, policies and risk programs. This leader will build and develop a team responsible for governance, exam management, issues management, and redress execution. Critical activities include, but are not limited to issue identification, analysis and remediation, client redress, interim mitigating actions, systems analysis, and legal/regulatory project execution across the deposit and debit card ecosystems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Lead a team responsible for the mitigation and resolution of risks associated with consumer and small business deposit products or processes by working with internal teams on root cause analysis; identify short-term and long-term action items for resolution and remediation of the issue. May include self-identified findings, issues from supervisors, production incidents, etc.
2. Manage a portfolio of complex projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, risk, production controls, regulatory or client remediation efforts. Work with internal assurance providers and external regulators, providing information required to resolve the inquiry and lead efforts to resolve any audit or exam findings. Responsible for ensuring proper prioritization, thorough completion and comprehensive documentation of multiple parallel projects.
3. Leverage team's identification of issue root cause to proactively improve front-end deployment of new products, processes, services, etc. Serve as an advisor for new products and programs while working with second- and third-line risk partners to shepherd efforts through appropriate risk and change-management processes.
4. Direct the team's efforts to support the overall end to end deposit and debit card integration activities. Drive comprehensive integration and change-management efforts (i.e., product definitions and product mapping, client communications, teammate training, and updates to documents and procedures).
5. Serve as primary point of contact for deposits and debit issues across the enterprise. Lead cross-functional engagements to identify risk or change drivers and appropriately prioritize across multiple stakeholders/ecosystems to achieve closure of identified issues.
6. Lead the aggregation and delivery of performance reports in areas of focus for senior and executive leadership, providing insights and actionable recommendations to drive performance improvement.
7. Manage a team comprised of senior specialists, specialists and analysts. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team. Responsible for recruitment, team development, and performance outcomes.
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent financial services experience and related training
2. 10+ years of experience in risk management, audit, governance or related roles, preferably within banking or financial services.
3. 4+ years of leadership experience
4. Ability to solve complex issues considering technology, client, teammate and financial impact.
5. Proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
6. Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams, with a strong focus on fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
7. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related field
2. Understanding of consumer and small business deposit products, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements.
3. Completion of a leadership development program or banking school
