Leidos is looking for a qualified Operations Manager to support lead several key areas of Defensive Cyber Solutions Branch (DCSB) Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) operations. This individual will directly lead and manage the classified aspects of DCSB CSSP's operations, ensuring the branch is meeting/exceeding customer and subscriber expectations. This individual will be the primary decision-maker on the contractor side for all matters related to the organization's high-side efforts, which include Network Defense, Threat, Vulnerability Management, Engineering, and any other team performing work on classified networks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the central point of contact (POC) and primary contractor decision maker for DCSB CSSP's classified operations.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, conducting regular check-ins and supporting their career development goals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of DCSB CSSP's unclassified operations to ensure (at minimum) parity of services across classifications and environments.
  • Collaborate directly with subordinate and peer leads to find ways to best achieve the government customer's goals.
  • Maintain relationships with government customer to ensure they are informed of all pertinent details surrounding our high-side mission.
  • Notify the customer if/when operational issues emerge which require their attention.
  • Constantly seek to improve the organization's capabilities by enhancing processes and/or creating new ones.
  • Work directly with DCSB teams to understand pain-points, needs, and requirements to find solutions that meet the team's needs.
  • Identify and address longstanding issues or challenges that may need to be resolved.
  • Maintain awareness of staffing challenges and needs - then work directly with management to ensure proper resourcing.
  • Attend major briefings and events that take place on the high-side and ensure government customer and contractor leadership are informed of all relevant information.
  • Ensure subordinate teams are able to perform 24x7x365 monitoring - in the event of contingency plan activation, ensure coverage is provided upon activation of COOP.
  • Support unclassified operations management efforts, time permitting.
  • Support ad-hoc management requests, tasks, and projects as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires MS degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience in order to operate within the scope contemplated by the level.
  • Requires 4+ years of direct leadership experience.
  • Requires at least 2+ years of experience performing Cyber Watch Officer duties (or similar) supporting a Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP)
  • Requires strong understanding of DOD/Army environments and culture
  • Requires strong understanding of CSSP functions, teams, roles, etc.
  • Requires excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Active DoD TS clearance (SCI eligible)
  • Ability to maintain active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP)

  • Able to navigate difficult personalities without getting frustrated.

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
