Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our team in Orlando, United States. This pivotal role will assist the Chief Medical Officer in providing medical oversight, direction, and leadership to our medical staff, ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery in our facility.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Compensation/ Min: 150K Max: 350K

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our team in Orlando, United States. This pivotal role will assist the Chief Medical Officer in providing medical oversight, direction, and leadership to our medical staff, ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery in our facility.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer in providing strategic oversight and administration of medical services for on-site health units, including emergency response and humanitarian efforts
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations in all service delivery functions
- Provide direct supervision of medical staff and oversee patient care
- Offer medical guidance for medically fragile personnel and provide status updates to clients and federal agencies
- Collaborate on strategic planning for intake, medical exams, and ongoing care requirements
- Assist in developing medical staffing plans, including rapid surge and de-scoping strategies
- Support the operations of Primary Care, specialty, and ancillary services in the on-site clinic, including isolation and quarantine procedures
- Help develop medical support documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policies for care services
- Foster relationships with local healthcare facilities and agencies to ensure access to quality community care
- Participate in quality development and clinical governance initiatives, including maintaining medical practice standards, infection control, and emergency response preparedness
- Represent the organization in the local community and maintain relationships with healthcare providers
- Oversee data acquisition and reporting of medical activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a healthcare leadership role
- Clinical experience within the past 5 years, preferably in a remote site
- Current and unrestricted license within scope of practice
- Graduated from an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current DEA certification
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated executive-level interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Capability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions
- Physical ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 35 lbs when necessary
- US Citizenship or permanent resident status
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in immigration or refugee programs
- Background as a government subcontractor or prime contractor
- Experience collaborating with state and local medical facilities
- Familiarity working with Federal entities such as Health and Human Services/ORR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish
- Current MRPT Clearance
