Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute fundraising strategy for increasing leadership gift support from private sources
Exceed established metrics for dollar and visit goals as determined on an annual basis
Effectively collaborate with colleagues on Foundation team and other departments at Children's
Schedule and hold face-to-face meetings with assigned portfolio to achieve set fundraising goals
Identify and cultivate potential donors or prospects individual as part of annual strategy and goals
Create and execute compelling stewardship plans for major gift support for development team
Manage annual giving and major giving team members
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of fundraising experience, healthcare setting preferred
Excellent verbal communication skills and proven writing skills
Experience in writing direct appeals, e-appeals, and articles as necessary
Customer-service orientation with ability to initiate communication with donors and prospects
Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as independently
Experience with budgeting, planning and project administration
Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines, and attend to follow-through
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of successful fundraising experience, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting; and a proven and verifiable track record of growing individual and major gift support.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
CFRE Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to conceive, plan, coordinate, and implement programs which focus on results, not processes, and which are successful in attracting substantial private support.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing, as well as a well-developed sense of propriety in dealing with a wide variety of audiences.
Ability to work under pressure with respect to expected and fixed goals.
Knowledge of fundraising principles, and computer skills.
