Description:
Who We Are:
At Rock Creek Foundation, a subsidiary of The Sante Group, we believe that having a disability and/or a mental illness should not prevent anyone from having the opportunity to participate in everyday life. That's why we have been pioneering the field of behavioral health services for the dually diagnosed. We want to ensure that each person we serve can develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible, in their own communities, and is able to realize his or her potential in ways that they could not do so before. Our committed staff of direct support professionals help drive our mission.
What We're Looking For:
The Development Generalist will play a key role in advancing the Foundation's mission by supporting a wide range of development, communication, and donor engagement activities. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player with a passion for nonprofit work, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Communications and Marketing
Manage and grow the Foundation's presence on social media platforms.
Develop, write, and distribute email newsletters to engage donors and stakeholders.
Assist with drafting and distributing solicitation letters and other donor-focused communications.

Conduct prospect research and identify potential donors, including board member prospects.
Participate in face-to-face solicitation of gifts up to four figures to advance the organization's fundraising goals.
Database Management
Enter and maintain accurate donor information and gift records in the Foundation's donor database (nNeon).
Generate reports and analyze donor trends to inform fundraising strategies.
Event Planning
Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics, staffing, and donor stewardship activities.
Represent the Foundation at events to cultivate relationships and engage stakeholders.
What We Require:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in nonprofit development, communications, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or communications preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with social media management and email marketing platforms preferred.
Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge) or a willingness to learn.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and other stakeholders.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Commitment to the mission and values of the Rock Creek Foundation.
What You'll Get:
We understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job, and we believe that diversity of background and experience makes for better problem-solving and collaboration, which is why we are dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team. Even more important than your resume is a positive attitude, a passion for making an impact, a personal desire to grow, and the ability to help individuals heal, recover, and thrive.
