Overview:

Team is on a journey to transform how client delivers the best customer experience with seamless access to a software-driven and cloud-based ecosystem of products, services and content. This transformation is about simplifying, virtualizing and automating the network transport and services to lower costs and increase agility to deploy services.
The DOQ team is responsible for providing shared capabilities to the different NTS Delivery teams including the following:
DevSecOps Enablement leveraging client's shared platforming to enable the 5'Cs of DevOps
o Continuous Exploration
o Continuous Integration
o Continuous Deployment
o Continuous Testing
o Continuous Monitoring
Tooling offering (Gitlab, Jfrog Artifactory, Ansible, SonarQube...)
Secure SDLC Enablement
Agile Practice Enablement

As a DevOps Agile Coach, you will closely work with DevOps teams and help improve their DevOps skills and Practices by transitioning from a traditional way of delivering software to a DevOps / Agile approach. Your responsibility is to help teams follow a process that will allow them to develop software more efficiently and effectively.
You will have to coach teams through their iterations and improve their level of automation by implementing Continuous integration / Continuous Deployment framework that ensure enablement and compliance to code quality and security checks.
You will also be involved in the creation of training materials to be used by the pairing / coached teams to help them faster the adoption and upskilling.

Responsibilities:
Help teams Upskilling and adopt the software development Best Practices
Help development teams improve their SDLC by adopting the Golden CI/CD Template
Provide DevOps Delivery coaching to teams on all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle Framework, with a strong focus on TDD, BDD and shifting left security compliance and removing Technical Debt.
Work closely with the team and Identify opportunities for automation
Observes the team to understand and remove impediments keeping the team from operating effectively as a DevOps / Agile team
Provide team and Product Owners / scrum masters coaching around Product centricity and DevOps / Agile fundamental practices
Collaborate with the program team to enhance & Customize the Golden Pipeline based on the teams requirements
Create training materials relative to specific DevOps training needs
Participate in enterprise DevOps transformation team efforts

Qualifications/Competencies:
8+ years of experience working within a DevOps environment with expertise in infrastructure-as-code and understanding of software/application development
Experience and knowledge of the full software delivery lifecycle and deep Knowledge of Software Engineering work, DevOps, TDD, CI/CD,
8+ years expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCE, OpenStack, VMWare, etc.) and Linux/Windows operating systems
Experience with configuration management and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef Provisioning)
Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
Experience on coaching and/or leading a team and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Deep understanding of the DevOps philosophy and Agile methods
Automating traditional processes with scripting or configuration management
Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and coach on how to automate routine tasks
An analytic spirit who sees a product/system as a series of small deliverables who has the ability to transfer this vision through workshops (story mapping, customer journey etc.)
Strong experience on leading large projects, transformation efforts, process improvements, product implementations, systems development and integration efforts
An individual who can adapt to uncertainty and change with elegance.
Bilingual French and English (written and verbal) is an asset.

As DevOps SRE Observability Coach, you will closely work with DevOps teams and help improve their DevOps skills focus on a role that combines traditional DevOps skills like CI/CD and infrastructure management with a deep expertise in building and maintaining robust monitoring systems, utilizing tools and distributed tracing to ensure high system reliability and quickly identify potential issues through comprehensive observability practices, often considered a core pillar of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Key responsibilities might include:
Designing and implementing observability architecture:
Selecting and integrating monitoring tools, defining metrics, logs, and traces to provide deep insights into system behavior.
Building and maintaining monitoring dashboards:
Creating visualizations in Observability tools to effectively communicate system health and identify anomalies.
Alerting and escalation management:
Setting up thresholds and notifications for critical events, ensuring timely response to issues.
Root cause analysis:
Using observability data to quickly pinpoint the source of system problems and proactively address potential issues.
Automation of monitoring tasks:
Developing scripts and tools to automate routine monitoring checks and reporting.
Collaborating with development teams:
Working closely with engineers to instrument applications with necessary monitoring code.
Experience on coaching and/or leading a team and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
